DISSECTED & RESURRECTED [2007]

Dissected and Resurrected is the band’s third album, a remix LP that features fellow artists and collaborators reinventing Freudstein tracks. The B Side collects the band’s own released remixes.

Unreleased album artwork by Arthur Smit is included below.

Stand out tracks include: Misadventure (Gary Hughes ‘Black Room’ Mix), Shadows (Ewigkeit Remix).

“Tracks from last year’s ‘Mass Market Misery’ album are remixed for dark and dirty dancefloors, combined here with some of Freudstein’s own mixes of songs by kindred spirits Arkham Asylum, Chaos Engine and Swarf. The originals are stretched and broken on the rave rack, twisted in the industrial thumbscrews and fiendishly experimented upon until, against all odds, the resulting hybrid homunculus takes on a hideous life of its own. Recommended.”

MASS MARKET MISERY [2006]

Mass Market Misery is the band’s epic second album and features 11 songs of dark musical majesty. The album builds on their love of horror soundtracks with pure analogue perfection and live instrumentation. It is perhaps Freudstein’s finest record to date.

Stand out tracks include: Misadventure, Robots Pt2 & Pt3, Wings Of Death, Sister Sleaze.

“Electronic dark ballads team up with electro metal rides and industrial moments creating thirty nine minutes of breath taking dark music. Check it, MASS MARKET MISERY has no low points! (5/5)”

MONDO FREUDO [2001]

Freudstein’s debut LP featured an electic mix of 1970’s horror soundtrack influenced songs mixed with drum and bass, techno, metal and pop. For an album that refused to stay in one specific genre, it was ahead of its time.

Stand out tracks include : Punkid, Shadows, Looking For Answers, Mark Of The Devil.

“The duo have found a new sound, one that combines the atmosphere of classic horror soundtracks with modern electronic music. Their album ‘Mondo Freudo’ is testament to this, with its orchestral strings, manic arpeggios and whispered vocals - they’re not afraid to experiment at the expense of the listener’s mind.”
