Never After Dark [2026]

In the new atmospheric J-horror Never After Dark, a medium is invited to exorcise the ghost in a remote hotel, she soon discovers the restless spirit possesses superior supernatural powers and harbours a dark secret.

Directed by Dave Boyle (not Danny Boyle from Trainspotting) and starring Moeka Hoshi looks like a spooky new addition to Japanese horror after an absence of new classics in the genre.

Never After Dark is available in cinemas (but let’s face it we’re all watching the excellent Resident Evil reboot).
